Speech-language therapy assists a child in improving communication skills in a variety of areas:Occupational Therapy
Occupational therapy helps a child to improve fine motor skills. By improving coordination, strength, perception, sensory integration, oral-motor skills, and adapting materials, improvement may be seen in feeding, eye-hand coordination and manipulation of items such as utensils, writing tools, scissors, clothing and toys.
Physical Therapy
Physical therapy helps a child to improve gross motor skills. By improving balance, strength, coordination, body awareness and range of motion, improvement may been seen in safer movements, improved functional skills such as sitting, walking, and running, increased success with activities such as riding toys and playground equipment and better stability when doing table activities.
